Accessibility Statement

Our commitment

StatusBird LLC wants index.statusbird.io to be usable by everyone, including people who use screen readers, keyboard navigation, magnification, or voice control. A service that reports accessibility failures on other people's pages has a particular duty to hold its own pages to the same standard.

Conformance target

We aim for the pages on this site to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at level AA, which is the standard referenced by the Americans with Disabilities Act guidance of the US Department of Justice, Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act, the European Accessibility Act via EN 301 549, and the UK Public Sector Bodies Accessibility Regulations. Every page is checked with the axe-core automated rule set before it is published, and the pages are also reviewed by hand for keyboard operation, focus visibility, heading structure and colour contrast.

What we have done

• Every page declares its language, has one top-level heading and a logical heading order, and offers a "Skip to content" link as the first focusable element.
• All text meets a contrast ratio of at least 4.5:1 against its background, and status is never conveyed by colour alone: every coloured tag also carries its meaning in words.
• Every form control has a programmatic label, and the store check announces its result to assistive technology when it appears.
• All functionality works with a keyboard alone, with a visible focus indicator on every interactive element, and no content moves or flashes.
• Data tables use header cells so that screen readers can associate each value with its column.
• The site respects a visitor's reduced-motion preference and works at 200 percent zoom and at a 320 pixel viewport without horizontal scrolling, with wide tables scrolling inside their own container.

Known limitations

• PDF record documents. The portfolio checks and Exposure Reports are generated as PDF files by a browser rendering engine and are not fully tagged PDFs. Every fact in a PDF record is available on request as an accessible HTML page or as structured JSON, at no charge; email index@statusbird.io with the record link.
• Third-party pages. The Stripe checkout and the Plausible analytics dashboard are operated by those companies, under their own accessibility statements.

If you find anything on this site that is hard to use with assistive technology, or you need any content in another format, email index@statusbird.io with the page address and what happened. We reply within two business days and we treat accessibility reports as bugs to fix, not requests to consider.

StatusBird LLC is a private company in the United States. If you are not satisfied with our response you may contact the US Department of Justice Civil Rights Division at ada.gov. Residents of the European Union may contact the enforcement body designated in their member state under the European Accessibility Act.
