Put the countdown on your own site

One script tag adds a small, self-updating countdown to Shopify's ScriptTag deadline, linking to the free store check. It counts down to October 1, 2026, then to March 1, 2027, and states the fact after that. No cookies, no tracking, no dependencies; the script is about one kilobyte and sets nothing on the visitor's browser.

Where it fits

Agency blogs and client newsletters, app vendors' migration notices, and merchant communities. The widget appears exactly where the script tag is placed. It is a link to a public research page and carries no advertising; you may remove it at any time.

The widget is served by StatusBird LLC from index.statusbird.io. Loading it makes one request to that host for the script file; the server log for that request is kept 14 days as described in the privacy policy.
