Privacy Policy

Effective September 18, 2026. This policy covers the StatusBird Studio pages on this site and the services ordered from them. StatusBird LLC, 5227 N 7th St STE 77491, Phoenix, AZ 85014, is the controller. Contact: studio@statusbird.io.

What we collect, and why

• The free check. The site address you enter, the summary of what our scanner observed on your public pages, and an optional revenue bucket you may select. Stored under a random link for seven days so you can return to it, then deleted. Your IP address is used in memory to enforce the daily limit and is not written to the stored result. We do not ask for or store your email or name for a free check.
• Orders. Stripe collects your name, email, billing address and payment details under its own policy; we receive your email, the site address you entered, and the order reference. We use them to deliver what you ordered, to send the onboarding email for a plan, and to answer support requests. Order records are kept for seven years for tax and accounting.
• Audits and records. The evidence file and report we generate for a site you order describe that public site, not you. They are emailed to you and kept on our server, at an unlisted address, so the verification link works.
• Monitoring plans. The site address to monitor, the checkout path, and the alert contacts you give us (email addresses, phone numbers, Slack, Teams or Discord webhook URLs). Used only to send the alerts and records you asked for. Deleted within 30 days of cancellation.
• Email. Messages to studio@statusbird.io are kept as ordinary business correspondence.
• Analytics. Plausible, a cookieless analytics service, records page views in aggregate. No cookies are set for analytics and no personal data is collected by it.

What we do not do

We do not sell or rent personal data. We do not use it for advertising. The scanner reads only pages, files and headers your site already serves to every visitor; it never logs in, submits a form, or queries a database or API on your site. Credential-shaped strings it detects are masked in reports and are not stored.

Processors

Stripe (payments), SendGrid (email delivery), Google Cloud (hosting of this site and the scanner), Anthropic (the optional AI assistant test, which receives only the public page text the crawler received), and Plausible (analytics). Each processes data under its own agreement with us.

Your rights

You can ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to a use, by emailing studio@statusbird.io. We answer within 30 days. Residents of the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and California have the additional rights set out in their laws, and we honour them.

Security and retention

Data is stored on access-controlled servers with encrypted transport. Free check results are deleted after seven days, monitoring data within 30 days of cancellation, and order records after seven years. We may update this policy; the effective date above changes when we do.
